So I found myself visiting the folks in the middle of a heat wave, with nary a summer outfit to be had in my suitcase.
A trip to the local Giant Tiger solved my wardrobe blues.
I love GT Boutique. Every time I come home I go there. There are a few in the Toronto area but none are central enough for me. So it's my little vacay treat!
Though the fashions are inexpensive and good quality, I always troll the clearance rack.
These cotton stretch yoga pants - a bit short but I thought they looked kinda retro cool that way - were three bucks on sale. So was the turq cami, and the 100% cotton cardi by Point Zero? A fiver. The sandals were $6.97.
Total outfit: $17.97.
This blue boho top was $7.97, so I threw it onto the pile. It will look great with everything from jeans to white summer pants.
Giant Tiger is a Canadian company, which I love, with a real community focus. Most of its stores are in smaller towns and villages - a smart plan in my view as they become ingrained in the community.
GT carries everything from fashions to decor and housewares to grocery (my Dad swears it's the cheapest place to buy milk).
I'll miss it, but I've had my GT fix for the moment and got some cute summer togs out of it too!
Hopefully the warm weather is here to stay!
