Ever bought something you found alarmingly beautiful but wasn't quite sure how it would fit into your life?
This Art Deco, brass and glass necklace found at an antique market on Danforth Ave in Toronto, wasn't exactly a Grunge Queen price.
But oh, I love it so.
It's stamped "Regina" and though some of my pals at the club I've recently joined, the Toronto Vintage Costume Jewellery Club, had heard of the name, no one could find any info on it.
I'll get a chance to test it out with my wardrobe this weekend, as I'm going a photo shoot for the jewellery club's annual sale (Saturday, April 24 at Leaside Memorial Gardens in Toronto, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) ... and I'm the model!
I'm a bit nervous, but I'm modeling some FAB vintage jewellery by members of the club. Will see if the photographer will let me post some pics here!!
P.S. The antique market on the Danforth is called the Danforth Village Antique Market, or "Finders Keepers," and it's on the second level at 715 Danforth near Pape. It has everything! Check it out at www.findersantiques.info
